Day 1– Count your Blessings

The Magic – Rhonda Byrne

Re-reading, The Magic by Rhonda Byrne. I read this book a few years back, when I shifted to Mumbai for my first job, even before I got married, I was staying alone, managing my life alone for the first time. My first ever read was The Alchemist, which remains my forever favorite and secondly this book The Magic is something I wanted to read again. Why? Maybe at that point of time, I was not aware, what significance does this book really holds. Maybe I was too young to understand the implications it had to offer. But now after having learned about the importance of gratitude, finding happiness in little things, my hands stopped at this book, when I was searching to read something from my mini library at home.

I started reading again and a thought came in mind that, why only read alone, let us all read it together and experience something different by following few practices which could bring some positivity in our life, not a bad idea, right? So from today till the next 28 days, I will be taking you all to an unforgettable journey, discovering the magic of life and how real it could be. Hope you all are ready to join me? 🙂

I will begin with asking a simple question, Do you believe in Magic?

If not, here is the magical formula to feel magic in your life:

  1. Deliberately think and say the magic words, thank you.
  2. The more you deliberately think and say the magic words, thank you, the more gratitude you feel.
  3. The more gratitude you deliberately think and feel, the more abundance you receive.

In this book, there are 28 magical practices that have been specifically designed so that we can learn how to use gratitude’s magical power to revolutionize our health, money, job, and relationships. We will also learn how to practice gratitude to dissolve problems and transform any negative situation. So let us begin this 28 days magical journey towards self-discovery.

Day 1–Count Your Blessings:

” When I started counting my blessings, my whole world turned around”

— Willie Nelson

Counting our blessings simply means being grateful for what we have. No matter how small it may be, but when we are grateful for it, it will start increasing. If we do not count on positive aspects of our life then we might fall into the trap of unintentionally counting negative things. When we talk about a negative situation, negative people, when we complain about other, we count negative things and we cancel on counting positive aspects of life. So we will do a quick activity as mentioned below:

Magic practice Number 1

Count your Blessing:

  1. First thing in the morning, make a list of ten blessings in your life you are grateful for.
  2. Write why you are grateful for each blessing.
  3. Go back and read your list, either in your mind or loud. When you get to the end of each one, say the magic words, thank you and feel the gratitude for that blessing as much as you possibly can.
  4. Repeat the first three steps of this magical practice every morning for the next 27 days.

Sounds fun? isn’t it? I know it could be a tedious process for some, but trust me you have nothing to lose and instead of reading the whole book, I am bringing the best part of the book,i.e. The Magical Practises which will be offered to you in a very much concise and personalized manner.

Are you joining me yet? 🙂

Much Love

Priyanka
