6 demons we face every day

We all survived another year!! A big pat on our back 🙂

We get one life which we want to live to the fullest, to earn name, money, have beautiful relationships, successful career, big house, big car and what not. From the day we are born till the day we breathe our last breath, we work, we struggle, we fall, we get up and we get going all the time.

When we are happy, we see positive in everything around us and appreciate all good things but when we are sad, we go into self-doubt, anger, anxiety, depression, nagging and witness so many emotions. What are those recurring negative emotions we face or many times we fall prey for and what impact do they create in our life? I call them demons of our daily life and I am trying to make some points here, hope it is relatable.

Assumptions

We never like to admit that we might be wrong in understanding things, and we pretend that we do understand things exactly, but we are often wrong. We assume things quickly, we weave stories in our mind which anyone could believe but when one speaks the real truth nobody even cares. By simply looking at anyone’s status updates on Social Media we assume so many things about a person, we hardly realize what that person might be going through in their real life. We assume things one never said, we assume a situation which never happened, we just create a mountain of a mole hill and believe in its existence.

Anxiety

We are dealing with so much in our lives to win this battle, to stay in the game. We lose our control at times, we break down, we feel exhausted and we panic, which not only hampers our productivity but our mental health as well. There is a very thin line in between you sane and insane mind that very moment when you feel the situation is taking a toll over you, take ten steps back from that very situation, shut down, stay quiet, stay low key. You won’t miss out anything in life, but continuous nagging with the present situation leaves us rattling inside our mind.

Judgement

People have their reasons to follow a path, to choose a relationship, a career or any choices they make for themselves in their life. We often judge others on the basis of their choices, on their lifestyle etc. When we don’t even know what a person is going through in his life, how can we simply pass a judgment merely being a spectator? I am also guilty of this sin, but I got to learn my lesson and I am not going to repeat them. The world needs little more kindness and a little less judgment.

Validation

Seeking validation will keep you trapped. We are always seeking validation from others for our very own self, for our physical appearances, for our looks, for the food we cook, for our choices and many things. No one knows and is efficient to approve of your worth than you. You need to be confident for your choices and for the path you have chosen for yourself.

Procrastination

Biggest time killer!! We all are guilty of Procrastination at some or the other point of time. We do it more often, even after knowing the consequences of the same. We delay things, we imagine of completing the task, we know the consequences of not doing it but we still are not able to take immediate actions. Get over this habit of postponing things and never doing it, it leads to nothing but mental nagging and anxiety.

Self-doubt

We all go into self-doubt occasionally.
The root cause of self-doubt is, we do not celebrate our victories, we do not appreciate our own efforts rather dwell into self-doubt and self-loathing. Take charge of yourself, come out of your comfort zone, do not stop learning new things, do not stop upgrading your self. Do not doubt your own abilities and capacities to perform anything without even giving it a fair try. Do not let the feeling of What If I fail, crop in your mind and reside in your heart. You are capable of more than you think.

I have managed to overcome these demons by following the path of gratitude and believing in myself 🙂

Much Love and much gratitude

  2. Tha’s a cool tip – practicing gratitude to overcome your demons. I think I should reflect on what my demons are and then chase them out of my life …I do practice gratitude and find that it has helped me calm down.
