You Learn and You Grow #Reflection

Reflection Post #Blogchatter A2Z Writing Challenge

I started blogging in 2017 and was happily creating my own place with my pace of writing. I was totally unaware of the endless possibilities blogging can bring to one.

I just wanted to express and I started writing, I gained momentum only in 2018 and my fellow bloggers have been a tremendous source of motivation to me through their words of appreciation which only made me write more effectively and creatively.

It was on 28th March 2019 one of my blogger friends Sudip Saha suggestedΒ meΒ to register for BlogChatter A2Z challenge 2019 and I was little skeptical as there was hardly any time left but still, I went for it.

This was the first time I participated in an online challenge that too for consecutively 26 days I wrote something, how more beautiful or best it could get to motivate self to write daily and connect with other bloggers around.

But it was not that easy, the first challenge was to decide a theme and reveal it, deciding the theme was not much difficult as by now I think I have identified my niche but writing in the same theme for consecutive 26 days with great quality content and with some meaningful message, in the end, was real challenge for me.

“Quality matters, Content is the King” I swear by these words. With my theme #26days26ways to Self-help and Mental Health Awareness measures, I tried my best to inculcate this principle in the whole A2Z series and I hope I was able to do so.

What I gained out of this writing Challenge:

  • I unleashed my own capabilities and capacities
  • It was like a trial or test for my writing skills
  • It made me believe in my idea of following this niche of spreading mental health awareness in a lighter manner.
  • It helped me connect with awesome bloggers around me, I was not even aware of.
  • I have learned a lot from others and appreciate their work.
  • I gained regular visitors, which helped me gain some visibility and followers.

The real challenge:

Towards the end of the writing challenge when I was hardly 6 posts away from completing the challenge, I thought I won’t be able to make it till the end.

We had planned our summer vacation way back in March and as the time was nearing my tension levels were rising thinking how will I manage all this in between traveling, attending a family wedding, and week signals in my native place. So before leaving, in two days I prepared six blogs and scheduled them, half of my job was done.

Now remained reading and sharing part of the other blogs, which was not mandatory but let me tell you it became like a daily routine, we wrote, we read, we shared and we had a good laugh over some incidents, some stories touch our hearts, some made us believe in ourselves, some even made us cry, some helped us travel to several places sitting at home, some shared delicious and healthy recipes, some gave us valuable book reviews, some took us way back to history, some bloggers amused us with their unmatched traits of humor and wit whereas some gave important traveling and parenting tips. Overall it was a wonderful experience, and it would be really difficult to reflect this entire journey in a single world.

In the end, I would say I am glad I grabbed this opportunity, I hustled, struggled and also panicked towards the end of the challenge but now I sit writing this Reflection post, in the end, feeling so accomplished as I survived what I thought I won’t even be able to begin.

Till the time this challenge happened to me I was writing in my own world, totally aloof and secluded, but all my regular blogger friends and visitors were very much a part of this challenge and helped me write more effectively.

And now having accomplished this challenge, I feel, I exist and belong somewhere in this blogging world. Thank you, everyone, for trusting me, visiting me, giving your precious feedback, as each and every feedback matters a lot to me.
