From Stressed to Sorted: About the Author
Before I head on to the book review, I would first congratulate the author for coming up with such a helpful book for the readers and making a fair attempt to be a guiding light through her simple words of wisdom.
The book is written by Sonam Chamaria and edited by Neha Chamaria. The author of the book, Sonam Chamaria is an Investment banker by profession, and a Tarot-card reader, chakra healer, avid reader, writer, blogger, traveler, and photographer by choice.
She started her blog, Soul Speak with Sonam in 2016, and is a highly spiritual person who believes that everything happens for a reason, which you will reaslise as you will read the book page by page 🙂
This book is her first published work and she dedicates this book to her mother with love and warmth in each word.
Book Review:
The book starts with a very warm note, which already connects you to the author and you prepare yourself to join her in her whole journey of 134 pages without any questions and assumptions.
This book, From Stressed to Sorted is quite a sorted book, and not an atypical type of preachy and heavily jargoned book, anyone can read it and relate to it. The book consists of 11 chapters with a unique takeaway, in the end, every chapter starts with an example which we all go through in our daily life, but how we choose to respond to our day to day situations is the “thing” or a constant truning point, author has emphasized on.
You instantly form a connection with the author as the language is so simple and convincing, you will feel that you are actually conversing with the writer as each page turns with the flow. I feel the author has very carefully picked up all her life’s incidents and personal experiences and has given it a beautiful shape of learning. At the end of every chapter, the Try Me’s are worth trying and doodles make you smile.
Written by a millennial, for the millennials, this book is a must-read for three reasons:
1.) You will feel like you are actually chatting with the author.
2.) Besides a little logical gyan, you get a takeaway after each and every lesson, which are worth trying.
3.) All the life hacks are beautifully explained with examples, as you read you come up questions and your questions are answered briefly with examples.
In the end, I would say this book is a mix of fiction, non-fiction, life’s learning and some amazing hacks, crafted with beautiful narattion.
